Unless woke companies buy season tickets, I just don’t see the average person spending hundreds of dollars for a Tuesday night NBA game in December. Even once the restrictions are fully lifted, if that ever happens.

The white male is still the average person who buys tickets. Sure women are attracted to rich, young athletic types but will they spend $400 for a seat to a game? In high numbers?

Sports needs an enema. These clowns were handed everything and yet they continue to desecrate what empowered them.

That major leagues as we knew them are finished.
They will continue to limp along, but their ratings, attendance , revenues and profits will continue to collapse and the days of super high salaries are inevitably going to come to an end.
The fun part will be when the arrogant , entitled black players are forced to take pay cuts by hard cold reality of sharply lower revenues and profits.
The fight between the owners and the athletes over money will be the mother of all battles.

The money I could have wasted on going to Senators games I instead spent on collecting NHL Vintage and CCM Heritage Sweaters to wear when I skate on the Rideau Canal or play a little outdoor shinny. A much happier and healthier activity, IMHO.

I recall reading an interview with Frank Mahovlich a few years back in which he said that the small number of times he’s bothered to watch an NHL game on TV, he notices almost everyone in the stands is that good deal younger compared to what it was like during his playing days (a mix of younger and older) and he figured that it’s because the father is busy working to help pay for those very expensive tickets, lol.
