What would really work for me is to be able to add Presearch to Brave.

Thanks! I gave it a spin with a search for some independent tutorials. Familyop approved. Go for it!

Yeah, it’s good. I’m replying because I want to bump the thread.
Overall though, Google is King of technical searches. Still, if I can avoid them to any extent, I’m all for this.

So far no better in my test search: “trump patriots win”
The site where most Trump fans now reside is “patriots.win”, and it should come up with my above search.
So far, no joy. But when it does, I’ll switch.

I’ve been using duck duck go for several years already. Not sure why I should switch since they don’t collect or save my searches and screw google that way.
Help me understand why I should switch?

Colorado Doug: It installs with Brave desktop as well. How to
Video usconservative: DuckDuckGo is a fine search engine too, I've used it for a few years. I like Presearch's result set. Presearch has a few things extra: it runs on block-chain , it allows a custom pool of sites to target your searching to a platform, it has an Android widget to launch searches as well, each search you do generates 0.25 PRE coins to your (anonymous) account. What you do with a PRE token I haven't researched yet.
One thing I'd like to run some day soon: a side by side test searching for things like "Election Fraud" and demonstrate how Google scrapes off the results it doesn't like and pumps the articles it does like, i.e. "No evidence at all of voter fraud!" Anyone tried that yet? It might turn into a Bias-Meter metric.

presearch.org is already an option in Brave. Click on settings (from the menu icon on the upper right side of the browser, then click settings), choose ‘search engines’ then in the extended list you will see presearch. Right click, then click to make it your default.

In Brave, what do you put in for:
URL with %s in place of query: ______________________
Thanks!

Go to Settings -> Search Engines. If you use Presearch.org once, you’ll find it in the ‘Other’ section. There is a ‘...’ menu next to that search engine that will allow you to indicate that you want it to be the default.
I just set it up in Brave. Super easy.
To: VastRWCon
Enter the following without the opening and closing quotes:
But, it should be a matter of clicking on the Presearch.org entry in the extended list of search engines, and setting it as the default search engine.
