Hilarious to think lawyers have _anything_ to do with ethics.
The purpose of "ethics law" is to try to convince dirtbags to stop being so _obvious_ about their criminal activity.
In other words, "ethics law" is designed to support criminal activity by making it harder to catch them in the act and harder to convict them in a court of law when they are caught in the act.
"Oh, that theft and fraud was just an ethics violation, your honor."
