No law is going to change the way a person feels. No government is going to get rid of racism.

Thomas Sowell distinguishes between racism and discrimination. Racism, he said, is in the mind. Discrimination is a behavior. He further claimed that, since 1964, there has been no effective anti-black discrimination and racism doesn't matter because it exists in people's minds.

OTOH, events like this don't help to reduce either racism or discrimination:
