In Central PA they are Amish or mostly Mennonite family run stores.

In Mifflinburg there is Wenger’s. They just ran a 2 day anniversary sale where everything in the store except milk was 20% off. It’s the size of a large supermarket.

Whispering Pines in Mt. Pleasant Mills is on a large apple orchard. Wingers is in Williamsport and Northumberland. There are several more scattered around of various sizes.

You must watch dates and quality carefully.

Most of these are also bulk goods stores where you can purchase 50 lb bags of flours, grains, sugars and ....

I’ve watched food prices skyrocket in the past two months. I have several apps on my phone to check prices, but found the big box stores put price increases through faster than other stores.
