Geeze, give me back marching bands, or at least Aerosmith. If you've never seen it, watch the movie "Drumline". Decent acting, but the musical competition between the 2 colleges is what makes it great.
Missed that one. What a shame.
Yes, they could spell out F-U-J-B as part of their show..................
Doubt they would do that, but one can dream :) So you've seen Drumline? If not, it's worth your time if you like marching bands. It's a yearly competition between two black universities in the south. There's no racial component, although all black actors, and if you have surround sound and love music, you'll be amazed.
I'm probably biased since I'm a drummer. Getting a new kit for my Birthday from the wife and counting the days till it arrives. It's a Roland electronic kit so I can play with headphones and not disturb the Wife downstairs.
Yes, I’ve seen it. I think BET puts it on every February...................or Tuesday................
What did you think of it?
Not being a musically talented person, it was just a movie that told a good story to me. Used to like Nick Cannon...................
There was a football game this past weekend?
Not if you were a KC fan.........................
You are leaving out one very important FACT regarding Brady.
Just like Dan Marino, he gets rid of the ball very quickly.
Therefore, he does not get hit as often.
Mahomes, is an incredible talent. Maybe the best I have ever seen. However, when you are scrambling around making those incredible side armed passes you WILL GET HIT HARD. Just like Lamar Jackson, you will get injured. Scrambling QBs do not have long NFL careers.
LOL!
And the population is much bigger now than in 2007, so the ratings are even worse this year.
You're right... and yes he does. It's why he can play til he's an old man... no one lays a glove on him.
“Scrambling QBs do not have long NFL careers.”
You are probably too young to have heard of Fran Tarkenton.
I am 57.
I do remember the Purple People Eaters.
I also remember they went to the Super Bowl 4 times and lost. Just like the Bills.
I also recall that back when Fran was running the gridiron DB backs were big FAT guys that could not run very fast. Linebackers were on average about 230 lbs. Free and strong safeties were also quite a bit smaller.
Fran would not survive very long in todays NFL. The defensive players are way too fast and much more muscular than they were back in his day. Fran was akin to Doug Flutie.
Good to hear that we are the same generation and that you grew up with the likes of Tarkenton. I agree with your observations. Back then, the top linebackers, like Nick Buoniconti, were 220 lb., and as great as they were, they can’t change the laws of physics.
