An Illinois trampoline park promising “the best high energy, adrenaline fix in Peoria” became the site of a violent melee on Saturday night. In video of the brawl, dozens can be seen punching, shoving, stomping and pulling hair as even more stand and observe, sometimes toppling over each other as they get to a safe distance, or jockey for a better view of the fray. Most appear to be teenagers.

or jockey for a better view of the fray. It's a trampoline park. Easy to get above the fray. But also easy to get injured in the fracas.

Elevate is a chain of trampoline parks, including two in the Peoria area.
Three other Elevate locations are in Arizona's Valley of the Sun (which has a city called... Peoria!) :)

P.S. Talk about giving new dimension to playing in Peoria...

And I thought they were fighting on the trampolines themselves, not in the shoe room...

“This is Illinois which is STILL under strict lockdown rules...”
In Illinois, “strict lockdown rules” are only actually observed in Chicago and the Governor’s mansion.

Do I need to look?

George Gilder wrote a couple of times about how unsupervised black younger people can act in a—well, you get the idea. It appears that this reinforces his statement.

"....dozens can be seen punching, shoving, stomping and pulling hair..." I presume lots of airborne hair weaves were visible. They were just helping each other put their masks back on, nothing to see here.

I’m always curious whether the participants in big fights like this even know who they’re fighting or why. Or are they just wildly swinging at whoever or whatever happens to be in front of them?

Surprised they didn’t call them Trump supporters. Give them time. The last time I saw trampoline centers was in the early 60s.

“We built our trampoline parks on the foundation of creating a fun, positive and safe place for everyone of all ages to enjoy,” Wilson said. “We are committed more than ever on focusing our efforts to maintain a family friendly environment, where everyone who enters our doors, both guests and staff members, are respected and treated with kindness at all times.” Your insurance agent wants a word with you. Something about brawling teens on trampolines doesn't align with your company vision.

Yes, and our neighborhood Unwelcoming Committee has many fabulous prizes to award, most of which will be delivered at something just under muzzle velocity. Everyone’s a winner!
