Of all the prophecies in the book 1984, the one I find the most disturbing to witness coming true is the Two Minutes of Hate. Only, in 2021, it isn't only two minutes - through social media it is 24/7. The sheep-like masses are presented with the target and told to hate them, and so they froth and scream and go about "literally shaking" whenever they hear even the name of the target, until they are given a new target. Then they forget the previous target even existed.
