It was another Demonicrat in the White House, Woodrow Wilson, whose egotistical and foolish actions in getting the U.S. into WWI eventually led to the Communist Revolution in Russia and Hitler's rise to power from the post-armistice economic chaos in Germany which then led to WWII and the Cold War.
