I’ve read the thing several times now and came away with the distinct impression that the author is rubbing our noses in it and knows it. They weren’t fixing the election, oh, no, they were “fortifying” it. Guarding democracy from the public vote, if you like. Corporate oligarchs and tenured radicals teaming up in a truly unholy alliance because Trump may have had the unmitigated gall to get re-elected (and probably did) and you know, that simply couldn’t be allowed by people who have arrogated to themselves the right to allow things.

And you’re right.

They are so confident in their ability to pay no price for stealing the election, to have perpetrated an electoral coup d’etat, that they want to openly brag that they did it.

This article is all about boasting to their friends. This is how we stole the election. Aren’t we smart. And there’s not a damned thing that all those Trump voters can do about it.

Well said.... I agree BUT I would add that this is a pre-emptive strike to counter balance the mountain of evidence of outright election fraud.
In other words there was no "wide spread"election fraud. Biden won because of a well organized, multi-level alliance of true patriots from street level protesters to woke corporate giants.
