It is possible to get it again....they don’t know for sure.

Some reinfections happen, but they are rare in all cases. When I was a child, I had the mumps. The days went by and I was to go to school again. I woke up with mumps on the other side. It happens, but my sister and brother who were sick before me, got over it in half the time.
Confirmed reinfections globally are statistically zero.
We have friends who got it when this released virus first came ashore.
They give blood, on a regular basis, and test for antibodies, each time.
So far....nearly one year out....they still have antibodies....and, have not really changed their lifestyles....still go out with friends/family, dinners, etc.
So far, all is good.
