He is Canadian, right?

He sure is. And he hated his role as Georg Von Trapp, during and after filming. It’s his most famous role, by far, however.

I know nothing about his politics.
But I saw a lot of movies where he seemed typecast as a villain, but...was very good at those roles!
RIP.

How long ago did he get the vaccine?
What is the primary cause of death? (I’ll venture a wild guess that old age was the secondary cause)

he was good in everything he did. we shouldn’t hold sound of music against him.

He was very good as evil Uncle Ralp in the 2002 BBC Nicholas Nickleby, and was outstanding playing a Nazi in “The Scarlet and the Black” (and excellent movie).

Christopher Plummer. I’ve been hearing his name all my life. I’ve definitely seen movies he was in. And I don’t have the slightest idea what he looks or sounds like. I guess if an actor doesn’t really grab you for whatever reason he never really registers at all. RIP, Mr. Plummer.

Julie Andrews showed up on the SOM set every day exceeding cheerful and chipper. It grated Mr Plummer something awful.
He was a convincing grumpy uncle in Nicholas Nickleby.
