This is the Deep State club & we ain’t in it.

They will be coming for our guns, our property & our right to engage in political speech.

Right you are. And the frustrating thing is that millions of people who aren’t in the club (and will never get in) enthusiastically support the club’s members anyway.

George, you left us way too soon.

“They will be coming for our guns, our property & our right to engage in political speech.”

$1.9 million stimulus just passed. Next up, forgiving $1 trillion in student loans. Who knows what else is coming down the pipeline.

Expect big tax increase in late summer and fall to deal with the “Trump” deficit. They need to pass it before year end so it is out of the mind of the sheep for the 2022 election. Expect means testing for Social Security and Medicare benefits as well as eliminating favorable tax treatment for capital gains and dividends. Inheritance tax rates going up, and the step-up provision for assets will be eliminated. They came into office with the plan ready to go and roll out. Unlike the GOP where the House and Senate fought the Trump agenda the two years the Republicans controlled Congress and the White House.

The Bank of America story Tucker Carlson broke this week should scare anyone who believes in the rights delineated in the Constitution. Amendment IV states: “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

The wording is clear. A warrant is required if the government wants to access your personal papers and effects. The government officials “asked” BOA for the information, they didn’t present a warrant. BOA, which is heavily regulated by the government, complied with a request which violated the privacy of its customers. This is tyranny. Every civil libertarian in this nation should be screaming in protest. Every GOP politician should be protesting and demanding to know the names of the officials doing this. Instead, there is silence.

For those who think filing a lawsuit is going to make a different, I have a bridge to sell you. First, expect at least $50,000 in legal bills to get a case heard in federal court, assuming you can find a competent lawyer to take the case, and assuming the judge will even allow it to be heard. BOA and the government will drag it out for years with legal maneuvering. The government will claim BOA did not have to release the information. BOA’s lawyers will show the fine print in your banking agreement stating your agree they can provide law enforcement with information without contacting you. Under those circumstances, do you think a federal judge will rule in your favor?

In 2022 this forum will be filled with people insisting we must vote for the GOP. If they can’t speak up now, what makes anyone think they will stand up in the future?
