The House voted Thursday to remove Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from her committee assignments, delivering a severe rebuke to the Georgia Republican hours after she said she regretted her past embrace of conspiracy theories.

The House voted 230-199 to remove Mrs. Greene from the budget and education committees, with 11 Republicans siding with Democrats. The move will diminish Mrs. Greeneā€™s ability to shape legislation and work with other lawmakers, sidelining her just weeks into her first term in office.

Democrats said the move was a necessary response to counter the violent rhetoric and misinformation that helped foment the riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, since GOP leaders declined to sanction her. Republicans warned it could spark future retaliation.

Kasich is the future of the GOP. No strong conservative will ever rise to the top. Heck Trump spent the majority of his life as a Democrat and some how, like Reagan, we saw them as a panacea. Better than average, of course, but not “shrink the federal government” better.

“So, can a simple Democratic majority vote to strip each and every Republican representative of their committee seat and freeze them out of the bill development process?”

Yup!

Why? The reason is the Republican party to the degree it represents a true political philosophy is not totalitarian or utopian in nature. Once you make power the reason for doing a political act, you cease from being republican (small “r”).

The primary talk is delusional. The GOP cannot be reformed and cannot be controlled. Look at how instantly some of the Republican rookies have already drank the koolaid. When you run as part of a political machine you follow their dictates or they destroy you.

Funny how the two former Democrats are more conservative than any Bush League life long Republican.

Isn’t Rep. Nicole Malliotakis of New York a newcomer?

Yes, because the Democrats know that the GOP will never do the same when they have the majority, because the GOP lays down and takes it and likes it.

That or what real conservatism is escapes us. A real conservative’s only focus would be on dismantling 90% of the federal government, reversing the tax tables so that those consuming the most of the government teat pay the greatest amount of the tax revenue, and we start helping those who are actually contributing the most to society.. those at the top of the income brackets.

The U.S. House of Representatives under Pelosi’s leadership has made itself a joke, looking more like a rubber-stamp legislature in a third world authoritarian country where political revenge is a constant and ongoing object of the body’s agenda.

My thought is simply this: the more we let Democrats have unfettered control, the sooner they will wreck this country.

The sooner they wreck the country, the sooner people will want to leave.

The more people that leave, the more I will be left alone.

My ancestors settled in Texas when there was nothing here but grass with the buffalo herds and natives passing through from time-to-time.

Texas was here before the U.S., and Texas will be here long after.
