Slide: back about 1978-9 Miller was helping kickoff George Strait and Shelley West in concerts around the country. One of the first was in Knoxville Tn. The Miller rep paid us beer and dogs/burgers if I would get my fraternity brothers to get a crowd to the concert.

Free Beer Whoop Whoop, we were in and brought a couple of hundred “Fans” to the Knox Sox field for what turned into a great concert. George Strait looked younger than us college kids. America was a Great country back then, could be again but it won’t be easy.

Continuing the slide. Saw George Strait last Feb 1 in Las Vegas —His last live concert. It was everything I expected.

been to two GS concerts...even hung around after and got his autograph....his music was always easy to dance to when we were in our dancing days....

"country" music has really changed since then....can't even listen to most of them...they guys all sound the same...couldn't tell one from another..
