How they test it is up to them. You have zero control. Yes, true. But I don't know of any way to truly find out what the company itself did. That they don't sell this as a non-abortive vaccine at all isn't a good start, and with at least six of their employees doing the testing in my linked paper, I'm inclined to think that it was at least company sponsored, if not fully company funded/run. Your own employees testing your stuff at an "independent" facility sure doesn't sound very independent to me.
