How can I be in a civil war with a party I no longer recognize?

I won’t vote pubbie again. I will vote for an independent party that can form ruling coalitions with republicans. The democrats are running the senate with 48 members. A block of five Patriot Party senators will drag the GOP DeepStaters in the senate, kicking and screaming, back closer to conservatism.

Excellent point. When our forebears made the Declaration of Independence in 1776, it was not a Civil War.

We are in the same position now.
