The answer to all those questions is NO.
Of course. That's what the unvaccinated "placebo" (control) group is for. The two groups, vac'd and control, are each large and as identical as possible, including dispersal in a community in which community spread is ongoing at a strong rate. So, both groups should develop the same number of cases, but the degree to which the vac'd group does not develop as many cases as the control group determines the efficacy of the vaccine in the trial. The more cases in the control group, the greater the reliability of the results.
I imagine quite a bit of other tracking of subjects goes on as well.
In a different arena, my family is experiencing a containment effort right now. Several positive test results have popped up at the high school my daughter goes to -- students tested after an initial case appeared. This despite what looks to me like about as much prevention as can be practically applied, given PPE availability, in place. So, now a lot of tracking, contact tracing, and monitoring is going on. My wife got 3 e-mails on the subject just today, updating the situation, urging anyone with symptoms to quarantine and get tested, etc. Just how far this goes before the school reverts back to online learning I do not know. Hopefully the kids can stay in-classrooms, but I can't even hazard a guess as to the odds of that. :-(

After a few weeks your odds of serious illness will have dropped dramatically compared to being un-vaccinated.
Can you go out without a mask?
Once most of the moderate-to-high risk population has gained immunity, masks mandates are unwarranted (but I would hope better education could commence.) However, in whacko-lib areas, who knows.
Can you eat in a restaurant? Can you sing in church? Can you go to public school?
Same answer as for "mask mandates".

Pending more data, I might take HCQ / Zinc at the 1st sign of symptoms even if vaccinated. Who wants even an average cold? (I consider myself @ moderate risk of serious COVID-19 if not vaccinated and exposed, @ moderate risk of a "moderate COVID-19 cold" if vaccinated and exposed.)
Some die the same day while other 2 weeks later. No need to wait too long for the democrats to blame something else.
Look at Cuomo in New York, lying about what he and other democrats did by killing 10’s of thousands of people in nursing homes deliberately.

It may have more use in third world countries where the refrigeration necessary for the moderna and pfizer vaccines does not exist

They are experimental and/or investigational. Not FDA approved. No long term testing.
Friend of mine has a father in law in hospital with cv19. The attending MD is refusing to do any treatment that the family is requesting for FIL. He’s dying. Another murder by conventional medicine. My friend is kicking herself because she did not offer the home treatment. Hopefully her attorney, a Christian/conservative, can end the MDs medical career with a nice fat lawsuit. But of course, the medical establishment will circle around and defend “standard of care”.
PS. She reports that when she first spoke to this physician, he was reading off the wrong person’s chart. A$$hole MD told her that the patient had too many comorbidities and basically deserved to die. What bedside manner! What ethics! One can imagine their horror...until they realized that the idiot was talking about someone else. But based on my experience with my own ex-inlaws, all MDs, par for the course.

It may be a moot point. My county’s Health Dept. website presently displays, for any date chosen for a COVID-19 appt: “No appointments are available this month”.
Never said it was not real, the question is what is it and how does it work.
My question is have the scientists made too many assumptions on this.
Also what has happened to the Flu, it did not go away, is it all now just classified as Covid?
Are the vaccines really safe and effective or are they a guess, much like the flu shots. Will you have to take them every year?
I think going back and restudying the Diamond Princess Data may yield more insight.
I do my own research, I just question a lot of what is being put out there by the so called experts at the NIH, CDC, and WHO.
It seems sad that you paint with a broad brush. There are bad members of every profession. That does not generalize to all members of the profession
