Well, look at the success data from the vaccines of the ‘50’s and the current flu series.
Working where I do, I get a free flu shot every year. The latest and greatest is pushed into my arm, and I am supposed to be “safe” from that year’s nasty bug.
Well, other than the fact I have stupidly painful knees within 6 hours, and I feel like garbage for about a week after the shot, and usually get the flu about 3 weeks later; sure, right, whatever.
Except that the powers that be have utterly missed the bus on the correct strain for the last SIX CONSECUTIVE YEARS!
That, and the fact that the vaccine from 2 years ago, once it was put into my right arm, coincided with no fewer than FIVE serious health issues within 48 hours makes me just a little wary about trying this: new, rapidly approved, two part, unapproved for veterinary use because rdna has odd side effects, vaccine.
