PS my view is that when the legislatures refused to act to name alternate slates of electors, we were done and everything after that was wishful thinking

Pretty much. Rudy tried to convince legislators in vain. In PA the statehouse Reps wanted to know what was in it for them personally.
It didn’t work out too well.
The later focus on Pence was bad but I held a little hope he might punt back to them.
But he did the ultimate worst act by waiting to the last minute and issuing a BS release. That had people fuming.
