and given that even the United States is selling our alleged surplus crops from previous years.
The current administration is proposing increased taxation on both on land and fossil fuels, as well as increasing "set aside" regulations for 30% of land under the guise of "soil conservation"
don't be surprised if this contrived food shortage is anything less than an economic war against food production and the American farmer, and the rural population.
Agricultural Seed and feed stores are nearing the end of their previous years excess production, with many current seed companies claiming supply delays, even now, of two -to- five weeks shipping delay.
Agricultural fertilizer supplies on hand remains unknown, as also the delay for field crop seeds;
meanwhile hybrid specialty seeds cannot be held-over from year to year due to agricultural corporate patents.
In previous years, U.S. agriculture has been highly successful despite isolated natural weather setbacks due primarily to supplies of fertilizer and mechanization.
With increased land and fossil fuel taxation, mandatory "soil conservation" of 30% made fallow, most of this current crop production, as well as seed, for future generations is at peril.
Yeah, I am like you in that I wouldn't believe that our government wouldn't be at war with its own population, but consider the fact that
the Dim's haven't offered anything but platitudes towards the population which has survived the China Flu,
and the current administration has done nothing but sabotage the American economy. Think about it !
At least consider these actions and know where your food comes from.

I have gone with heirloom or what’s called open pollinated seeds. I’ve been very selective about what I buy so I can save the seeds from year to year and have them breed true, which hybridized seeds will not.
And I have my seeds already all purchased.
Just waiting for March to start the veggie seeds indoors, or whatever I can (cold weather crops) outdoors.

Right now, the CHinese can't even supply their own population, and have previously bought our previous years surplus.
That surplus has already been sold.
What happens when we don't have any surplus because we have turned 30% of our land into "soil conservation " ?
Answer: We all starve like the Irish in the 1840's when they didn't control their land, their choice of crops, and sold out Irish sovereignty to another country (the Brits) .
