Marjorie Green confronts David Hogg

Anti-gun activist David Hogg hit back at freshman Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene in a CNN interview this week and accused the congresswoman of asking him “triggering questions” during a 2019 confrontation, video of which has only recently been covered by the mainstream media.

“I remember thinking… I’m just going to keep a straight face and practice my mindfulness meditation that I have often done to cope with my PTSD and my ADHD as well. They’re clearly trying to get a rise out of me by asking incredibly triggering questions, saying the name of my shooter and stuff like that,” Hogg told CNN in the interview.

Even if you don’t agree with anything I say or stand for we should all be able to agree there should be no room in Congress for people who threaten to kill people and spread conspiracies about mass shootings. https://t.co/pCmiClr4sG—

The confrontation took place on Capitol Hill in 2019, and Greene posted the video on her official Youtube channel in January of 2020. It’s unclear why CNN and other members of the corporate media are only now covering the incident.

In the video, Greene can be seen following Hogg down the street and asking him questions about his support for red flag laws.

“Why are you supporting red flag laws that attack our Second Amendment rights?” she asks. “And why are you using kids as a barrier? Do you not know how to defend your stance? I’m an American citizen. I’m a gun owner. I have a concealed carry permit. I carry a gun for protection. You are using your lobby… to try to take away my Second Amendment rights? You don’t have anything to say for yourself?”

Prompted by CNN’s Alisyn Camerota, Hogg interpreted Greene’s statements as a threat.

“If they shoot me, they prove my point. And they can’t kill a movement,” he said.

Greene told CNN that she was in Washington to speak with senators and oppose Hogg’s gun control agenda. In the video, she claims that Hogg was able to secure meetings with 30 senators while she couldn’t meet with any.

“In 11th grade, one of my fellow students took our school hostage with a gun he brought to our ‘gun-free’ school,” Greene said. “I understand that fear firsthand and I will always work to protect our gun rights so that Americans can defend themselves and others against bad people intent to harm or kill them.”

Hogg has taken to Twitter to call for Greene’s resignation.

He also posted this gem earlier today, apparently referring to himself.
“First they ignore you. Then they ridicule you. And then they attack you and want to burn you. And then they build monuments to you,”

“There’s no amount of money that you could ever pay us to do this work because that’s not why we do this,” he told CNN. “None of us want to do this, but we have to because corrupt elected officials like Marjorie Taylor Greene are in Congress and would rather protect guns than children.”

Greene’s short congressional career has been controversial in its own right. Before being elected to Congress in 2020, she allegedly made comments on social media that appear to support conspiracy theories related to QAnon, 9/11, and the Parkland massacre. She also allegedly posted about executing Nancy Pelosi and voiced support for killing FBI agents.

Greene called CNN’s reporting a “hit piece,” and pointed out that she has hired people to run her social media accounts.

“Many posts have been liked. Many posts have been shared. Some did not represent my views,” she said.

Wow.

The left wants to be able to kick a Republican out of Congress for saying something mildly controversial.

And several Republicans think it is a wonderful idea.

Does anyone else see how destructive and stupid this is?

The Party’s new push to control and/or stop our access to firearms, dragging out some old useful idiots.
