Speaking of mortadella... I was stationed in Sicily back in the ‘70s and some of my fondest memories was the food. One special “meal” was a trip to the fresh bread shop for some hot rolls...then to the meat shop for some thin-sliced meat (including mortadella) and cheese. Slap that on those hot rolls...with a bottle of wine. The good old days, LOL.
