A client contacted me and said she received almost a thousand dollars from a bank saying it was her unemployment money from California.
But she never lived in California, never worked in California, and never filed any claim.
The fraud is even worse in California.

Both my wife and I have had false unemployment claims filed in our names in the last 3 months in Kansas. This issue must be rampant.

Kansas' unemployment system is a complete mess, yet this governor mostly escapes criticism. That's because she has a D next to her name.
If there had been an R governor in charge of this mess, his/her incompetence would be headline news 24/7/365.
Even in red state Kansas, we have a praetorium guard media protecting the Dems. I look for an easy re-election for Kelly next year.
