The LA River is right at the end of my block....about a half block away. I love the LA River and it is being rejuvenated now and there are plans to make the whole area a strong city presence.
The city had to prove the river was navigable [not easy]....but the river overflows onto the freeway almost every year. Kids playing in the river perish is they are not careful.
To see LA from the spot the settlers did, is awesome. you can see why they thought it was perfect. lots of land to farm....a mighty river and lots of great weather.
Millions of the illegal aliens in LA will love it! Btw, I hear Obiden is getting ready to open the flood gates just south of LA once again.
