“... outbuildings that have some minor to severe damage.”
Kind of backward out there ... most of us non-sophisticated non-Californians have indoor plumbing ... but considering SF I guess outbuildings are a step up.
I was watching this storm on the radar all last night into the very late early morning from Santa Barbara. It looked like an absolute MONSTER storm on the radar. My prayers are with all who have been impacted by the devastating storm. It really brought tears to my eyes when I saw the Tweet that showed the destruction of all the outdoor dining areas. Especially RIGHT after the governor lifted the red order back to purple. May many see the red pill right in front of them. If we ever had a foundation to impact political change in this state it would be now.
The storm fizzled out down here on the southern end of the Peninsula. Wind gusts to 63 mph were predicted for 1 am. Nothing happened. A lot of drizzle the past 24 hours, but no serious rainfall or flooding. The “Atmospheric River” turned into a tiny freshet.
We’re getting pummeled here in Paso Robles. We’ve had almost 4 inches at our place on the West side in the hills. And the wind is hitting up to 50MPH gusts. I read yesterday Boulder Creek and Ben Lomond got slammed in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Sure glad I don’t live in CA. Feel sorry for those who do.
“Earlier, more than 400,000 homes and businesses were without electricity”
Hoping their electric cars had full charges.
