Oh My Goodness I LOVE WHOOPIE PIES! I had one from a food truck at Beringer winery, Fredericksburg, Texas and I am ADDICTED!!!!!!! So good. I like the chocolate ones with whipped cream inside. You just cannot improve on perfection like that! YUM!

Why do they call it a whoopie pie?
Some say Amish wives invented the whoopie pie from remnants of cake batter and frosting. According to the story, the name originated from the Amish men who, when they found these treats in their lunch boxes, would exclaim, “Whoopie!”
