The Baseball HOF is a sham.Baseball writers, the majority of whom are lefties cast the deciding vote. Many great ballplayers, who excelled on the field, are ignored because of their lifestyle, or pure favoritism such as ignoring the media.

My Father was a sports writer, one of his books is actually in the Hall of Fame. He was a conservative Republican in a sea of lefties. He was successful despite the fact he refused to shmooze with them. He did not suffer fools lightly. They knew he was a a Republican and only judged him by the quality of his work. He is considered one of the greatest sportswriters ever. He came up at the same time as Pete Hammill, Jimmy Breslin and Roger Kahn. All huge liberals.

I don’t know if would have the same success today.

And the same with the Academy Awards and the Rock and Roll hall of fame and the Nobel Peace Prize. I’m pretty sick of the hypocrisy of these groups.

Accomplishment should applauded for what it is.

This is why the Baseball Hall of Fame should include voters that have at least eight years or experience in national television and radio broadcasts. I mean, would someone like Vin Scully, Joe Buck, Jon Miller and other national broadcasters be able to determine who should be in the Hall of Fame? Of course, we do.
