I let the pros handle it. My adviser is with Ameriprise (formerly American Express). I inherited a 140k IRA from my parents last year. I shifted it from Schwab (yuck, phooey) to Ameriprise. I took out 20k to side my 5 car garage then another 10k recently to handle a bill and help my son with his wedding.

It’s sitting at 162k right now. No way I could have done that myself.
