Yeah if you dont plan on using the Smart TV for video calls find the camera lens and put some black electrical tape over it. The TV itself or remote may also be miked. 🙄

Those TVs are two-way communications devices and so are some voice remotes - for instance: my Roku remote has voice but the button has to be pushed for the mic to be open.

Yikes! I've always kept tape or a piece of paper taped over the camera on my laptops. Felt weird having that staring at me. LOL Will do on the TV, too. Never was sure what, if anything, could be done with the mike. I occasionally scream out, "F U Deep State!" just in case they're listening. (Not really, but I have said it out loud a few times. :) Thanks!

Hubby and I were discussing the Smart TV mic/camera thing today and wondering if that might be one reason the commie overlords insisted on stay-at-home lockdowns.

Just thinking about his stuff earlier, think the button is not pushed, the mic is not open, but is
the device still inputting the signal...my tablet can trace my location, I think that can be shut
off, but is just my end of the interface shut off, the location tracer is still on, I don’t know.
