All right, I’ve done nothing locally, so what do I want to do?
Can I call the local GOP Party and ask about meetings?
Say I just show up- what am I looking for? WTF would I be looking to do besides getting to know people?
What could I offer to do that would require only a few hours a month of work?
Give me some nudging.
A gop meeting is just a gathering of people who are willing to participate in the process. Motivations for participation vary, but there are always self serving rino types who look for power ect.
If not countered by true well meaning conservatives, they will hold sway over policy.
Learn a bit about Roberts Rules of order.
Get a friend to go with you to the meeting.
You will be surprised how few people actually control everything.
Be polite, be patient, be observant.
Then get a few more friends of like mind to go with you.
I like the number 10.
