"I don’t know why. Things are working just fine for them now. As long as Biden draws breath and is able to speak a few coherent words, why ditch him?"
I've thought that Biden might not last a year, but you have a point. However, it's one thing to sign Executive Orders that someone else wrote, it's quite another to sit in a room and negotiate with foreign leaders.
I think that they will let a sufficient amount of time to pass before they dump Biden, to give them "plausible deniability" that his infirmity is a recent development and not something that was obvious all along.

Biden won’t negotiate anything with anyone. His “people” will do all the negotiating and he’ll be there to sign whatever they agreed to. But at some point the disability will become undeniable. He will reluctantly resign and Kamala will become President.
What happens then will be interesting. I believe that Kamala is ambitious in the extreme and might not allow herself to be controlled as Biden is. She might well send everyone packing and fill their jobs with people she knows are loyal to her. Don’t know how ‘beloved’ she was during her two years in the Senate, but she’ll have to deal with Schumer/Pelosi et. al who will not likely want to dance to her tune.

They won’t replace Biden until after the stock market crashes.
