Physics is hard because the math to describe nature is hard.

Taxes are hard because the math to calculate taxes was designed by some (fill in the blank adjective) bureaucrat.

If people had to do their own taxes rather than using tax agents or computer programs, we’d see a simplified tax system pretty quickly.

and now we two levels of bureaucrats, the irs and the computer programmer.

Tax software early on was intuitive, now I swear I could to it faster on paper.
