I don’t see the R vote splitting in such a way that it would necessarily give the Dems an advantage. I could be wrong of course, but my theory is that a real party that stands for something will be such a contrast to a gutless old party that stands for nothing (and frequently turns against its own voters) will mean the quick demise of the GOP.
I mean, why continue buying an inferior and faulty product when a better one is available? I think millions of voters are going to make the switch and it will be an easy choice. The GOP’s shelf life has expired and everyone knows it.
There’s a certain comfort that comes from an association with genuine things. That’s how Trump got elected in the first place. He offered something better. He was the REAL DEAL. And now a new party can do the same thing and offer voters something better to vote for.
I think it will be right back to the two party system when the GOP collapses. I don’t know a single person who would be sorry to see it go.
