The answers at the presser on that were very confusing. General Hokanson clearly said Title 32. That means they get Federal Pay and are being used as backup for SS, Capitol Police and DC Metro Police. He says "they remain under the command and control of their governor" but they're "paid by the federal government and they're under the control of General Walker as the D.C. Guard Commanding General while they're here"

Then he also states the Chain of Command, which goes to the acting Sec of Def (sold to China "ABlinken" as Pompeo joked in a tweet if you recall)

The Acting Sec of the Army stumbled all over himself in this. I think the presser is a must watch personally. Mot might find it boring, but its VERY interesting for an anon.

Something form Military.com....

https://www.military.com/benefits/reserve-and-guard-benefits/whats-difference-between-title-10-and-title-32-mobilization-orders.html

Interesting statement in the above article...

“...Guard members may also be ordered to active duty solely by command of their state’s governor. This is known as “State Active Duty” or “State Call Up” and generally is in response to state-level disasters. When ordered to State Active Duty or Title 32 orders, Guard members may be granted the ability to act in a law enforcement capacity; this is prohibited when they are activated under Title 10 unless authorized by Congress....”

Hmmmm, weren’t 2,000 recently deputized as Special Marshals or somesuch?
