As a rule, post articles that are informative, interesting, useful (including building community as this one does) and worthy to be printed. No profanity, vulgarity, or porn.
Do not blog pimp, posting a bit of your blog as bait and requiring users to follow a link to the full article, but post at least the meat of it.
If posting copyrighted articles, which most are and in which only 5% to 10% is to be posted, or If only excerpts up to 300 words [list] (in some cases 100) are allowed, then do not merely copy and paste the top couple sentences or so - much less peripherals such as "post on Facebook" - but read the material and at post the meat of the article using multiple excerpts of it. Click on ✔ This is an excerpt when posting the article in order to be able to post 300 words on sites restricted to this. Use a site like https://wordcounter.net to provide the count.
If the article contains hot linked words that you want to include, then in Firefox you can select the text, then right click on it, and choose View selection source, and then copy and paste that. Note however that using any html in a post will mean you need to use that same in the rest, such as in providing < p > < /p > (without the spaces) to create paragraphs. This will not add to the word count since html does not need spaces where its tags begin or close in a section.
