I went with some family members to the Space City Comic Con at Galveston in January 2014 to see the Babylon 5 cast, including Mira Furlan. I was a tag-along, more interested in spending time with Andrea Thompson talking about her CNN experience. Tracy Scoggins was a local, and she gave us some tips on places to go.

Anyway, the lesson here is this: from what I understand, the whole cast reunited in Phoenix in 2013 except for Bruce Boxleitner (who said he was filming at the time and couldn't get away), and this bothered Jerry Doyle. So, when the cast re-reunited in Galveston in 2014, Doyle decided to skip it in a fit of pique.

Since then, Doyle died suddenly, Stephen Furst died, and now Mira Furlan died.

It's almost like celebrity ego got in the way of two possibly truly exceptional experiences that can no longer happen. It's like The Beatles never reuniting on Saturday Night Live, when maybe it could have been a moment of history.

Carpe Diem.

Mira Furlan

I never heard of her, though I now see that she was on Lost.

With all the COVID panic, people are still dying of West Nile virus? Scary.

RIP
