For our three boys, we added a couple of incentives. In order to be able to take driver's ed, they had to make the rank of Eagle. All of our boys were 18 when they began drivers ed. And, they had reached Eagle. Because they worked so hard we promised to pay for half of their insurance.
And, if they wanted a cell phone they paid for it themselves.
Our reward system for our two kids are grade based. They maintain high A’s we pay for their cell phone bills. So thankfully we have been paying them even with honors chemistry, Spanish and trigonometry. They’re far smarter than I am and proud that they’re working so hard.
My wife wanted to purchase a new car for my daughter, glad we didn’t do that. She was one of the kids in school that got a new car every year because her dad had to buy a new car every year, her mom never had a drivers license.
I was expecting about 150 more per month but based on the new premium it’s 300 per month and none of us have any claims on any of our policies.
