CDC will require cruise lines to conduct “simulated test sailings.” What the hell is that and what does that have to do with COVID? Are they going to model the spread on a ship? There is no way on God’s Green Earth to do that. Every single model of spread and contagion has been wrong.

I’m not a pro at “simulated test sailings,” but this appears to be nothing but a bunch of Biden zero-meaning bureaucratic gobbledygook meant to make it look like they are doing something.

Just do virtual cruises. Like some of the newer peleton bikes and treadmills. 😒😂

Simulated passengers will be strapped into cruise simulators and to see if they catch a simulated COVID. And I'm OK with that as long as I'm in the simulated Lido Bar on the upper mezzanine with a good supply of simulated cocktails.

Those models have been around since ships have sailed. It was a crapshoot getting underway on a military ship. At least 10-20% of the crew would have the screaming sh!ts withing 72 hours of sailing. Modern bearthing makes it better but not by much.
