Donald Trump is an offensive man. He has contempt for his marriage vows, for the rights of women near him not to be subject to his predatory behavior, for the truth, and for the reasons why America has been a great nation. He exerted his rich-man influence to dodge the Vietnam draft. He is an egomaniac, and everything during his time as president was subordinated to his egotism. He believes the way to get things done is to insult those who are against him rather than accept his power as POTUS was limited, and therefore he should not go off half-cocked. Still, when one makes these claims, Freepers who have already drunk the Kool-Aid say “No, because TRUMP! TRUMP! TRUMP!” Donald Trump is just a man, and personally not a very impressive man at that. He is not a god. He is as flawed as the rest of us.
Still, he had some strong views, which he advocated in office. The most obvious was illegal immigration, where he shattered the bipartisan consensus in his inimitable style. (Anyone remember how futile Tom Tancredo’s White House campaign was?) His SCOTUS appointments are light years better than Mrs. Clinton’s would have been.
Still, there are many Americans who are absolutely revolted by Mr. Trump’s conduct, including but not limited to while in office. Freepers, and especially Q fans, may not see it, but it is true just the same.
In 2020 he threaded the electoral-college needle, but in 2020 it just wasn’t there.
Many Americans who are not die-hard Trump fanatics were repulsed by what happened on January 6. So the left will hang this around the neck of conservatism for as long as they can get away with it.
And speaking of the Trump! cult, to place any stock whatsoever in what some anonymous Internet dweeb named Q! says is just not rational. I have been here long enough to remember 1998, the Clinton impeachment year, when a Freeper named quidam (whose account is still active, BTW), got Freepers all hot and bothered by sending out similarly cryptic messages indicating Bill Clinton was going to be removed from office.
Who was responsible for the Q lunacy? Perhaps we will never know. But it is incumbent on all conservatives to always ask, even if the future of someone they (unreasonably, IMHO) adore is at stake, to ask whether, given thousands of years of human history, a claim about what is going to happen is reasonable.
Persuading people that the conservative POV is the correct one is essential. Right now, given the way the country is (and it is that way, like it or not) this is hard work. This all the more true if so many Americans see the avatar of conservatism, Donald J. Trump, as a fundamentally repugnant man. A certain sort of Freeper may be incapable of processing this. But the country is what it is. And whining for two months before encouraging people to go down to the Capitol and do what is necessary (and breaking one’s promise to march down with them, which Trump! in his typically cowardly way did in his address on Jan. 6) is not going to persuade the country as it is that the claims of Donald J. Trump, despite the recorded vote totals and refusal of over 50 courts nationwide to acknowledge that that any objection to this is not meritless, that the election was “stolen” deserve any respect. Americans judge the credibility of claims like this by what the courts say, and on that score Mr, Trump’s batting average is .000. The certainty that people have that Trump! is right because of videos they saw on the internet and the testimony of some people who have some knowledge of statistics (and Sydney Powell and other crackpots) is just not enough.
Conservatives from now on need to do better than this. This is the country we live in, deal with it..
I expect, but am not certain, that I won’t get banned for this.
Go f yourself you sound like a Jeb! supporter....blah blah repugnant crap.
Thank you for your post👍
Remember, McCain was mean... until he went against his promise to repeal Obamacare, then he was a saint. Romney was going to put them back into chains, until his nonsensical vote supporting an absurd impeachment. Sure Trump poked them, and they got a small measure of revenge... by selling out America.
Trump did a lot of great things. Curbing regulation to boom the economy, lowest unemployment rate in memory, lowest in history for people of color. Peace agreements in the ME that deserve the Nobel prize, making fair trade deals with China and the rest of the world. Got us out of the stupid Paris accord, shut the window on Iran, and opened the door to Korea. Made the US energy independent. Project warp speed to give us a vaccine in record time. And more, but I'm tired of listing them.
You're claim he couldn't get anything done is absurd. Stop watching the news, your being trained to forget the truth.
If you don’t, you should get banned for your moronic ramblings.
But as opposed to his primary and general election opponents in 2016 he was a peach, right ol’ bud.
Good to see you but it’s still a little early in the election loss for most here.
Brave post. Ty.
Yes, he has been married three times...But, that never bothered me...I think other Trump voters will say the same thing...Yes, some women accused Mr. Trump of sexual misconduct...But, I am not sure if I should believe those women or not...I am skeptical...
TRUMP! TRUMP!”
I mostly agree with your criticism of Mr. Trump's ego...I would not go as far as calling him an "egomaniac"...
The most obvious was illegal immigration, where he shattered the bipartisan consensus in his inimitable style. (Anyone remember how futile Tom Tancredo’s White House campaign was?) His SCOTUS appointments are light years better than Mrs. Clinton’s would have been.
I think Mr. Trump did a fine job on illegal immigration...He made good judicial appointments indeed...

Yes, indeed the country is what it is...A lot of people voted for Joe Biden...I don't like that...But, that is the reality...Some FR members are unwilling to admit that many people really hated Mr. Trump and those people were eager to vote for Mr. Biden...
Going back to your point about Mr. Trump's ego...I think the Capitol rally was organized to console Mr. Trump's ego...An ego trip...Mr. Trump was very frustrated about the election...He wanted to show his critics that his supporters loved him...I am very sad about Ms. Ashli Babbitt...I really feel bad about Trump supporters who were arrested...I read some of their stories...
Yes, in his speech, Mr. Trump asked his supporters to be peaceful...But, he told his supporters to be "strong"...I think some supporters really interpreted that in a wrong way...In any case, Mr. Trump encouraged supporters to show up...
The certainty that people have that Trump! is right because of videos they saw on the internet and the testimony of some people who have some knowledge of statistics (and Sydney Powell and other crackpots) is just not enough. Yes, indeed, conservatives need to do better...Some FR members were really desperate to have Mr. Trump serve 4 more years...They were willing to believe anything...
Only because the Mediacracy painted him that way.
Nothing like promoting the Mediacracy line.
The country was solidly behind President Trump.
The only way the Left could win was through cheating by the Covid19 method to crash the economy, and by the constant lies in the Media.
As for the legitimacy of the election, you are simply wrong.
The election was stolen in Wisconsin, for example. Three of seven justices on the state supreme court voted to throw out the 210,000 illegitimate votes, as required by state law.
The fourth so-called "conservative" justice, Hagedorn, voted with the leftists to violate state law because he was afraid of being called a racist.
The Mediacracy has declared, for decades, that voter fraud is fine, as long as it is on the Democrat side by black people.
That is how President Trump lost.
Yeb Bush, is that you?
If you actually believe that we will vote for your beloved weak, milquetoast, treasonous, Globalist, polite, Chamber of Commerce, spineless republicans, then you are sadly mistaken.
China Mitch McConnell, Ben Sassy Lassy, Marco “foam boy” Rubio, Mittens Romney, Linda Graham, every criminal Bush, Mike Lee and the rest of the GOPe cowards can go straight to Hell.
Many people, including myself, are done with the Republican Party.
Donald Trump was the best President since Lincoln.
He was loved by everyone until he ran for President.
Only the left told you to hate him.
These facts will never change.
