Temps this winter have been warmer, and the winter has been dryer than usual. Today it's in the upper 70s, but we're scheduled for a wet weather pattern starting this weekend. It will peak in the upper 50s.

I left Arizona to take care of a dear lady friend who lost her husband, her oldest son and had a stroke, all within a short period of time. She's 84 and wheelchair-bound, so I'm running the household.

This is one of the few areas of California where I'd be comfortable.
