It’s curious ... I’ve not yet seen a single such ceremony. I figured it’s cause I have no interest in seeing but I’m not seeing much of anything and, as you note, no pomp & circumstance having the Ho swear people in etc. ... this is usually a big deal and starts the evening of inauguration.
