I grew up in Texas, and it was common knowledge that Texas made an agreement when it entered the Union that it could secede because it was a Republic, not a territory.
Unfortunately that was a myth, Texas can’t legally secede and neither can any other state.
Any and every state can illegally secede of course. The ramifications of doing so are not favorable to the seceding states.

At this point in time, “legally” doesn’t mean a durn thing, especially to the demoncraps, so I say we just do it. They have done so much that’s “illegal” that “legality” has no meaning anymore. If they aren’t going to play by the rules, why should we?
It is, of course, difficult to see the future. However, I have previously posted that if Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida plus the southern Atlantic coast states would join together to form a sovereign constitutional union, they could quickly become one of the richest nations on earth. They would have an abundance of resources to exploit. Other non-contiguous states might join in. It might be easier for the failing original oligarchy to make a deal with the new sovereign entity.
Of course, some of the population could cause problems. Nothing worthwhile can be easy.
To start, all roads lead to china - China and its influence and its pawns.
Start with the conronavirus {CoViD 19}. It was infiltrated into our country as a belligerent act. Comrade Doctor Fauci deceived POTUS into shutting down the economy. When POTUS realized the folly of that course of action he reopened with guidelines. When POTUS announced the wondrous benefits of an anti malaria drug, hydroxychloroquine, he was roundly condemned and even charged with telling people to drink bleach. The CDC and WHO quickly moved to condemn HCQ as an unproven therapy for coronavirus.
Meantime, the Deep State {probably predominantly in the pocket of China due to $$$$$$$} was brewing up a bogus impeachment case. They held all sorts of hearings for testimony - all in a SCIF and declared Top Secret - so that the witnesses could get on TV and say anything they wanted short of perjury, but nothing proving guilt.
During this time Dems were visiting Chinatown and encouraging all to attend Chinese New Year. All Dem Blue states defied POTUS' suggestions and continued to keep their states locked down. Secretary of State Pompeo announced that many governors, along with others, had obligations to China.
In addition, during this time, it came out that Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, had taken substantial sums of money, quite likely shared with papa, from foreign countries, most notably $1.5 billion from China. The mainstream media refused to cover the story and whatever coverage there was blamed the story on Russian misinformation. Blaming things on Russia had become almost universal in D.C. over the past four years, while China was left unmentioned.
When Joe Biden won the Dem race for POTUS, no one dared mention the $1.5 billion and the fact that our president might be beholding to the Chinese. The Hunter laptop, if mentioned at all, was, naturally, Russian misinformation to try to influence the election. Even fifty members of the intelligence community assured us that the Hunter laptop was Russian misinformation.
And what about the 2020 election? Do we find Chinese participation in election fraud? No, apparently not directly at any rate. Much unproven innuendo - no supportive info from the FBI, DoJ or the intel community. But the Wuhan (China) virus was blamed for having to change all election rules which would allow everyone and their pets the right to vote - vote many times if necessary.
Wherever we find meddling in our affairs, not to mention spying and stealing our intellectual property, the shadow of China looms big. For example, and as stated, the China virus changed all our election rules, and many other rules, that have uprooted us from many of our norms and comforts. Where money has failed, fear has worked effectively. The U.S. is being transformed into a government regulated society - to the extreme that in many states is is illegal to open a business {you can own a business - but you cannot open it.} With millions of people out of work and in danger of not feeding their families, paying their mortgage, paying their car payments -- the government rides to the rescue! Well, it looked like the govt was going to rescue, but the Speaker of the House decided not to do that; the Speaker of the House has made substantial money dealing with China.
Almost all of our prescription drugs come from China these days. When POTUS started blaming China for much of our plight, China threatened to cut off our supply of drugs; silence then prevailed.
NOW, the new Bitem Administration. One of their first announcements for foreign policy was to help the struggling Chinese economy. Trade barriers and sanctions must be eased. Have any of these new Dem leaders mentioned China's Muslim Uyghur minority and human rights violations? ¯¯ Mentioned what ¯¯?
Gotta run all of a sudden! All roads lead back to China!
