I am not saying the majority of Americans are pure hearted saints but most believe in God and want good over evil and believe in morality even if they are not perfect.

You basically just described a lot of rust belt Rat voters. While a lot of them have left the Rats, there are still an appreciable number of them out there. They have absolutely no idea what they’re voting for when they pull the lever for these scumbags too ... they sincerely believe they are helping people when doing so. Moreover, they know their grandparents and parents voted Dem, so they should too.
