Do you know what’s going on in your kid’s school? The three R’s – reading, writing, and arithmetic – have taken a back seat to a fourth R. Max Eden, Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute, explains what that fourth R is, and why it’s so destructive.

There Is No Apolitical Classroom

I really love being a teacher, but sometimes I really hate teaching. It’s shit like this that reminds how much if my job is B.S. Here’s to hoping we don’t have to do this at my school ....
Back in 2000, I had a assignment looking at Broward county voting exit pollilng. Now talking about it is pretty much off limits. There should be thousands of college students looking at the records, sticking them excel, looking at pivot tables, sorting, looking for repeats of what Gatewaypundit found.
Is anyone doing this in a classroom? No. Its one side political rants much of the time. No discussion, no disagreement.
Take a close look at your state’s standards and mandated curriculum. Many teachers aren’t aware of some of the mandates that students will more than likely be tested on.
Three years ago, a Fast Start student was saying they were watching Battlestar Galactica in class. I looked it up and this is literally in Common Core. This student did not think much of it either.
Kids catch on, and they don't like being indoctrinated and manipulated.
The I’m pretty blessed teaching in Indiana, but if you are a conservative, you still really have to watch your back as a teacher. Liberal admin pushing this stuff will wait until you trip and claim you’re a drink to get you fired.
In some states the 8th graders will have to pass a “test of understanding” in order to advance to high school. I would imagine that has been put on hold given the kids in many schools are having class over the internet. Textbooks have and are being rewritten. So given the fact the information will probably be state tested, teachers will be held accountable for the subject matter.
This is why the conservative response to the takeover of public schools by liberals has always been so disheartening. Home schooling might convince you that your child will be sheltered from left-wing indoctrination, but your child will still grow up to live in a world filled with peers who went through years of public school and years of left-wing indoctrination. That’s the world we’re living in now. Conservatives need to fight back, to attend PTA meetings, to challenge school board appointments and run for the school board themselves. What was done can be undone - it will take the same time and effort it took the leftists to conquer public schools.
The “Edutocracy” is on the Dems team and Indoctrination not Education is the mantra
