Whatever we do, we need to do as a group and not as a single person trying to make things better. If you are basically a peaceful lone wolf, trying to legally do your patriotic duty, the powers that be will absolutely squash you like a bug and try to make an example of you. I’m afraid that is going to happen to Trump if cooler heads don’t prevail, and I don’t see much sign that they will. As yourself this: what person in their right mind is going to be willing to run against the Uniparty afflicting literally us all, left, right, and center, in the future?
The agenda of both parties is not the agenda of the people, and the only way to hold our representatives accountable is to band together and offer a viable option for election or reelection for candidates of our choosing that isn’t nearly so reliant on corporate donations. We either change or else things will go very badly for us.
My point was timing. But okay.
Party platform.
Should there be a budget cap? How much?
Should minimum wage be abolished? Ethanol subsidies in exchange for two senate seats? Are national parks unconstitutional? Gold standard? How to deal with social security? What drugs should be legal?
A lot of people support a new party for a lot of different reasons. Even more fun than a generic candidate.
A new party platform is a nightmare of haggling. Tears a movement apart just like it did to the Reform party. Easier to reshape an existing one as events permit.
Trump said he would primary. I hope we are even permitted to do that. But that is more uniting than a third party. We could change the party’s name and weaken the party bosses.
He has a plan. Might have flaws but he helps us unite.
And we have many urgent problems.
The least exciting one is cleaning up vote counting and registration. I am wondering if I should learn hispanic. Might be necessary for us to win the amnesty vote. How can we spread word about corruption quickly?
