I doubt we'll hear anything anytime soon because there's a relatively small number, if any, of habitable planets in a similar "Goldilocks" evolutionary stage of civilization within "120" light years of Earth.
Perhaps. But is it farfetched to hypothesize that there is a “network” of civilizations linked by radio, albeit painfully slow, communicating with each other? It may take two hundred years to send a communication and another two hundred to receive an answer. Perhaps they simply constantly stream until they one day inevitably go off the air.
