Which reminds me—supposedly in the Middle Ages there was a feudal lord that decided the best way to have a wealth tax and tax the rich was to tax people based on how many windows they had in their homes.
Within a decade, so it is said, the village was the only one in Europe with no windows on any houses!
That’s a pretty good catch. I seem to remember somewhere in Europe they taxed people by how many rooms they had and I think they even counted a closet as a room. If my memory is correct.
