TEXT of the INAUGURATION ADDRESS of PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP at WASHINGTON, D.C. __ January 20, 2021.
My fellow Americans,
Well now you know why I said I wasn’t planning to attend the inauguration of my election opponent Joe Biden.
Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, and a number of other prominent coup plotters, have been taken into custody under the terms of the Insurrection Act proclaimed this morning at 0745 hours. They will face military tribunals in the near future to answer for their serious multiple crimes against the American people. I fully expect that justice will be done this year, and that the American people will see an end to the long-standing corruption in the politics of the nation, not confined to one party by any means.
These actions should serve as a warning and a cautionary tale to some of my fellow Republicans who have long tolerated what I and many others call “the swamp.” Maybe some of you — I should say of them — are swamp creatures themselves. Shame on you.
Shame on all who tried to steal the election of 2020 and turn a legitimate result into a contrived and illegal outcome, that would place unsuitable people in the highest offices of American public life. You can be assured that in the judicial proceedings to come, evidence will be laid out of their actual intentions, and those will amount to high treason and sedition.
There is a foreign enemy who wanted to interfere in the politics and the future of our great nation.
No, it wasn’t Russia like they kept saying. What’s that adage? Those who have bad intentions will often blame others of the same thing. We saw that continually from the day I declared my candidacy in 2015, to the end of my first term.
It was of course the same nation who gave the world the great and wonderful gift of COVID-19. We have the goods on that as well. Our legal proceedings in that regard will take place at the appropriate place and time, at The Hague and in the United Nations. Chairman Xi, I’m putting you on notice. Any acts of aggression against your neighbors in my remaining time in office will be met swiftly with the maximum possible force and your military will simply cease to exist — gone from the face of the earth. Chinese citizens, don’t be overly alarmed, that’s going to work in your interests as well. We won’t be nuking your cities and killing millions of people for no good reason. We leave that sort of thing to other countries.
To anyone else who wants to rumble with the United States of America, I will offer the same general warning. I am a peace president, started no unnecessary or costly wars. Hell, you would think I might be the ideal left wing candidate, full employment at least before COVID-19, and a general commitment to peace. Yet still they tried to label me as a warmonger, when my political opponents wanted nothing more than to return to the endless fighting in the Middle East that enriches their families at the expense of ordinary American families.
Now some may be alarmed to see me here today and to learn that I will continue to be your president. Suck it up. I won the electoral college fair and square, just like I did in 2016; now that the false results are out in the open and easily demonstrated, I expect the Congress to return to the question of validation of the electoral college, but in the meantime, by Emergency Decree, I will be acting as President for the next year and I expect these matters to be resolved within that time.
I want to thank those few loyal and brave Senators who stayed the course and who will still be serving the American people. Otherwise, please take note that special Senate and in some cases, House of Representatives, elections will be held on April 30th to May 7th of this coming year. We will rebuild the Congress with patriots and reliable Americans, of any political party that can legally operate under the terms and conditions of legislation that I expect to have been passed through the existing Congress by late February.
Now in particular, I want to speak to black Americans and some radicalized white or Asian or native American citizens who consider themselves to be my sworn enemies.
If you have committed no acts of treason, you will remain free, and there will continue to be freedom of speech in America; in fact, it was to preserve that freedom that I took these extraordinary measures. One can only imagine what might have happened in an America ruled by the far left in service to a foreign enemy known around the world for suppressing free speech.
I will be working tirelessly to restore the economic progress made in my first term. And that progress benefits every American, black or white, Latino or Asian, native Americans, men, women, youth, of whatever sexual orientation or religion. How is that an assault on your dignity, to have a job and an income? The only people who won’t have a job or an income were named in my opening remarks. Well, they will have jobs. We need a lot of licence plates for all the cars that young Americans will be buying in coming years.
My fellow Americans, we have our republic restored. Go about your daily lives and celebrate your freedom.
On the subject of the vice presidency, great acting job Mike Pence — you had a lot of people fooled there, but you led them straight into the trap. I’m proud to serve the American people with you.
