Do workers go through a cleanroom?
Every Nestle plant is different in some ways. No.
Supplied uniforms in lockers, vestibule area mandatory usage wash and lint control stations, hair nets and beard nets.
No personal clothing allowed in plant floor areas.
Certain areas require slipon protectors over shoes.
Some work areas are wet continually—condensation is not allowed nor water accumulation in puddles.
The dry area is cereal production.
There was a serious moment once when a cereal ingredient storage flooded from a water line break. The miracle was Nestle management tools didn’t prevent someone from opening a door to drain the water out before the walls collapsed. Every edible thing in that room was destroyed.
Slipons required to walk outside the plant building
for the annual hearing test in the parking lot.
The hair nets supplied are not ordinary ones—Full face hairnet. Wash stations and lint rollers are everywhere.
